The Provo City Council repealed the mask mandate ordinance on October 20th .  We do not need signatures for the Provo Covid-19 ordinance now that it has been repealed, however, we need to prepare to stop any future unlawful medical mandates that arise, as the Provo City council suggested they might impose on us again in January, by compiling a database of patriots who would be willing to sign a future referendum and volunteers who can help collect signatures.  There is a small window of time to collect signatures in-person, which is very time-consuming, so we need to be able to email and contact those people quickly next time and efficiently gather signatures and volunteers to meet the deadline.  Please fill out out volunteer questionnaire at: https://bit.ly/2GHewfu    If you would like to come to meetings to stay informed about these issues, we will meet weekly.  Email utahnsformedicalfreedom@gmail.com for details.

It's actually not that scary!  More people are encouraging and agree with us than not. And even the people who disagree with us are usually pretty polite.

Get an official petition packet from us and spend your 1 hour knocking doors in your neighborhood. (Or if you don't want to face your neighbors, pick a different neighborhood!)

We can give you a script of what to say when people open the door. If you need a buddy, contact us and we'll pair you with another volunteer to knock doors with.

See how one of our volunteers was able to find several Provo residents to sign the petition by posting a civil, politically neutral post on Facebook.

He asked a simple question, and got thoughtful replies. No heated debate, just a peaceful exchange of opinions.

Who knows, maybe you can get 2 or 5 or even 10 signatures from a simple Facebook post!

Out of all the people who reply stating they are not in favor of a mandate, see how many of them are Provo residents. Direct message them and ask if you can collect their signature for the petition. As long as they are registered to vote in Provo, they can sign.

Do you know even one person who would sign? Can you ask them if they know one other person who will sign? Then ask those people who they know?

Oh, so your contact has a family member in town, or a co-worker that will sign?

Great. Arrange to gather their signatures too, even if that means driving across town. You committed to 1 hour, remember? Before you know it, you've spent an hour darting around networking, collecting signatures. You've met the challenge. Well done!

Take a petition packet to sporting events, political rallies, family gatherings, or college parties--basically any place where you're bound to find a good amount of Provo residents not wearing masks who are likely to sign the petition.

Taking petition packets to events like this in Provo has by far been the most efficient way to collection signatures. You could easily meet the 10 signature challenge less than hour! Maybe even 20 minutes.

They are simply offering a location for everyone in our community to get food, without discrimination, regardless of their political beliefs.

If you don't want food, please find the volunteer and sign the referendum and keep the visit brief so we don't cause any disruption for other guests.  Please maintain social distancing so that we don't cause any discomfort for other customers.  However, you're welcome to join us for dinner if you'd like.

Option #2
Email us at utahnsformedicalfreedom@gmail.com. We'll arrange a time with you to get you a petition packet.
Picture

1. We need people to help with babysitting, especially those with young children willing to bring their children to play with the children of the volunteers while they are helping with the referendum.

2. We need someone who is willing to call those who are on our google document to ask if they have signed yet and if not, schedule a time and location to do so.

3. We need someone to staple packets together for an hour.

4. We need someone to ask for approval from busy businesses to have volunteers gather signatures just outside their doors.

6. We need people who are willing to donate or pay for more packets and flyers to be printed.  Since we didn't have time to set up an official account with the Leuitenant Governor to raise money for UMF, we can only accept private donations individually, not in behalf of UMF.   It has cost our leaders over $400 to pay for packets and flyers so far, mass text ($250), signs ($175), voter list ($56), decorations for meetings ($30), gas, etc.   Thank you to those of you who have donated so far.  We have spent over $900 total.  We have had anonymous donations in the amount of $470 donated towards our costs so far.  If you can help with the $430 remaining or help with future costs when or if we start another referendum, we would be most grateful!  Please email us to get our venmo account.  Here is a list of abbreviations of donators names.  If your initials are missing, and you donated, we apologize, please remind us.  JB $150, $100 DN, $100 JW, $60 JD, $40 RW, $20 man at Manti rally.

7. Pass out flyers about the referendum petition to home and businesses. Meet us at one of our Petition Signing Locations listed above, or email us at utahnsformedicalfreedom.com to arrange a time to obtain a stack of fliers.

Save Utah's freedom, one city at a time!

We each have different circumstances that either allow us to dedicate a lot of time to this cause, or maybe very little time due to family obligations, work, health restrictions, or many other factors.  We hope, however, that you will consider the importance of Provo's example to the other cities in the county, and how the council's ordinance and future ordinances could make our lives even more difficult if we don't do whatever we each can to try to get our community back to normal.  Please don't stretch yourself too thin that you get burnt out, but please do all you can within your abilities and share your time, talents, or means in the ways you can contribute best!  Thank you to all those who have helped and sacrificed so much!  Your time has not been wasted!
